Lahore: Early morning sunshine has pushed temperatures higher in Lahore, while the city has also been ranked the most polluted in the country.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Lahore’s temperature currently stands at 18°C, with humidity at 41 percent. Winds are blowing at 5 kilometers per hour, contributing to dry conditions, and no rainfall is expected today.
The PMD forecast indicates a mix of sun and clouds over the coming week, with light drizzle possible in some areas.
Lahore’s air quality has raised alarms, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 247, placing it at the top of the most polluted cities nationwide.
Experts have advised residents to limit unnecessary outdoor activities and wear masks to reduce exposure to harmful pollutants.
Authorities continue to monitor weather and pollution conditions as citizens are urged to take precautions amid rising temperatures and deteriorating air quality.
