Polio eradication drive concludes in Tank

TANK: The five-day anti-polio drive was concluded in Tank district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The campaign was conducted in the entire district including the former Frontier Region on June 27.

Supervised by Deputy Commissioner Hameed Ullah Khattak, District Health Officer Dr Sher Khan, mobile teams and the health authorities visited door-to-door to administer anti-polio drops to children below five years of age.

Dr Hameed Ullah said that special measures were being taken to make Tank polio-free so that all could work together for a better future.

Stringent security measures were provided by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps South and the local police.

He further emphasized that the role of health officials, polio , teams and law enforcement agencies including the Pakistan Army, FC South, district, and police administration were very important and commendable.
