Police Teams Awarded Rs 9 Million for Cracking Major Murder Cases

Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Saturday announced cash rewards totaling Rs 9 million for police teams that successfully solved three major murder cases following 129 raids across nine districts in three provinces.

According to a police spokesperson, IGP Rizvi made the announcement while chairing a command conference of Islamabad Police’s operational commanders. The meeting was attended by all divisional DIGs, SSPs, and SPs.

Commending the swift and effective action of the investigation teams, IGP Rizvi awarded Rs 5 million to one team, Rs 2.5 million to another, and Rs 1.5 million to the third team for their outstanding performance.

The IGP stressed the importance of public-oriented policing and directed all officers to promote community-friendly practices throughout the federal capital.

He also underscored the need to enhance the police training system to boost operational efficiency and reaffirmed the force’s commitment to safeguarding citizens’ lives and property amid evolving law and order challenges.

IGP Rizvi instructed all operational commanders to maintain strong coordination with their teams, enforce departmental accountability, prioritize personnel welfare, and conduct daily briefings to ensure readiness and performance.
