Police Rescue Woman Detained by Ex-Husband

Lodhran: In a response to a viral social media video, the Lodhran police have rescued a woman, Tasleem Bibi, who was reportedly detained by her ex-husband, Akram, and his brother, Ramzan. The video showed Tasleem pleading for help from the authorities.

District Police Officer (DPO) Kamran Mumtaz took immediate action after the video gained traction online. Tasleem, who had divorced Akram some time ago, visited her ex-husband’s residence to see her children.

During her visit, she was reportedly held against her will by Akram and Ramzan.

The Sadar police in Kehror Pakka acted following the video’s emergence, rescuing Tasleem and arresting the two accused.

The police have launched a further investigation into the incident to determine additional details and ensure justice is served.
