Police Officer Shot, Injured in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: A police officer was shot and injured in Dhamiyal area of Rawalpindi, police sources said on Sunday.

Inam Ali, a police officer stationed at Dhamiyal police station, sustained injuries in the gunfire and has been shifted to the hospital.

The police report indicates that the injured officer endured four gunshot wounds and is currently receiving medical treatment.

In connection with this incident, law enforcement officials state that the assailant, Hamad, was fatally shot during the gunfire exchange, while his accomplices managed to evade capture.
