Police Investigate Murder of Four Women in Karachi

Islamabad: In a tragic incident on Saturday, four women were found murdered in Karachi, raising alarm over escalating violence against women in the country. The bodies were discovered in an apartment building in the Lea Market area under mysterious circumstances.
Police are currently interrogating male relatives, who assert they were not present during the killings, which occurred on Friday night. “The women were brutally killed, with their throats slit, and their bodies exhibited signs of physical assault,” stated Arif Aziz, Senior Superintendent of Police.
The victims included the wife, daughter, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter of the family head, Muhammad Farooq, who spoke to reporters about the devastating loss. Investigations are ongoing, and police have arrested Bilal, a member of the household, who has confessed to the murders.
Man Allegedly Killed Friend’s Mother
A man allegedly killed his friend’s mother in Narowal for forbidding their friendship and subsequently kidnapped the boy on Sunday.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Faisal, was older than the victim, an eighth-grade student, whose mother disapproved of their relationship.
Concerned that an older boy might exploit her son, she strictly prohibited Faisal from associating with him.
Family Dispute Turns Deadly
A family dispute turned deadly in Akbari Mandi, Lahore, when a son-in-law shot and killed his father-in-law near Al-Khamini Hospital, according to a report by 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Police confirmed that the incident left the mother-in-law, identified as Shabana, critically injured from gunfire. The confrontation stemmed from an argument between Faisal, the accused son-in-law, and his wife.
Faisal and his father-in-law attempted to resolve the issue at their home, but during a heated exchange, Faisal opened fire, fatally wounding 55-year-old Shaban.
Shabana was seriously injured in the incident and was rushed to Mayo Hospital for urgent medical care. Following the shooting, Faisal fled the scene.
Authorities have secured the crime scene and are conducting investigations to apprehend the suspect.
Rs20 Milliom Looted at Gunpoint
A group of robbers looted Rs 20 million at gunpoint in the limits of Sadar police station near Chainx Check Post in Sara-e-Alamgir on Sunday. According to police, the victims were going to Islamabad from Phalian to buy cars.
On receiving information, police reached the crime scene and registered a case against three unknown suspects and started investigation.
