Police Intensify Crackdown on Vehicles with Tinted Glasses

Islamabad: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police launched a city-wide crackdown against vehicles with tinted glasses and black paper, following directives from Inspector General (IG) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
According to a police statement, special squads have been deployed across the city to take action against violators. The ICT Police aims to enforce a zero-tolerance policy, emphasizing that it is their moral responsibility to raise awareness about road safety while enforcing the law.
The crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to eliminate unauthorized use of tinted glasses and black paper in the capital. IG Rizvi affirmed that this operation reflects the police’s commitment to road safety regulations.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic, Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, urged citizens to support the campaign by following traffic rules. “The role of citizens is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and maintaining safety on the roads,” he said, adding, “Obeying traffic rules not only protects your life but also the lives of others.”
SSP Virk further appealed to the public to act responsibly and avoid violating traffic laws, stressing the importance of compliance to ensure road safety for all.
