Police Finalize Security & Traffic Plan for Independence Day

Rawalpindi: In preparation for Independence Day celebrations, the Rawalpindi police have implemented a comprehensive security and traffic management plan to ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow across the city and surrounding areas.

Over 5,300 police officers have been deployed, including more than 750 traffic officers and wardens assigned to manage traffic. In Malka-e-Kohsar Murree, an additional 950 officers and traffic wardens will be on duty.

To enhance safety in this popular tourist destination, 14 special pickets have been established. Addressing issues such as one-wheeling, 57 special pickets and squads have been formed throughout the city.

Mobile patrolling, elite commandos, and special Dolphin Force units have also been deployed for increased vigilance.

Senior police officers will be actively supervising operations, with special personnel assigned to parks and public spaces to maintain law and order.

The Rawalpindi police have issued a strict warning against one-wheeling, aerial firing, fireworks, and other public disturbances, emphasizing that immediate legal action will be taken against any violations.

As the city prepares for Independence Day festivities, the Rawalpindi Police urge everyone to celebrate responsibly and adhere to the law.
