Police Constable Martyred Guarding Polio Workers in South Waziristan

South Waziristan: A police constable deployed to provide security for a polio workers’ team was tragically killed in South Waziristan, according to reports from local journalists.
The incident occurred in the Manra area of Barmal Tehsil, South Waziristan district, within the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
Local journalist Hanifullah Khan reported that an armed individual attacked Police Constable Rahimullah Mehsud while he was guarding the polio monitoring team.
Station House Officer(SHO) Zabihullah Wazir of Raghzai police station confirmed that the officials were on duty alongside a team of post-immunization campaign surveyors.
Additionally, polio staff members confirmed that the polio vaccination campaign had concluded before the start of the month of Ramazan, and they were engaged in a post-campaign review at the time of the attack.
