Police Arrest 16 Suspects in Separate Operations

Kohat/ Sargodha: District police arrested 16 suspects on Saturday in separate operations conducted in the Kohat and Sargodha areas, according to police sources.

In a major operation in Kohat, police successfully apprehended Noor Khan, also known as Noori, a dangerous robber who was under the influence of the drug “ice.” 

The operation was led by SHO Gumbat, Waqar Afridi, and his team.

A stolen motorcycle, weapons used in the robberies, and the drug ice were recovered from the accused.

The District Police Officer (DPO) of Kohat, Mohammad Umar Khan, had received multiple complaints from citizens about motorcycle theft, cash snatching, and mobile phone robberies at gunpoint.

A special investigation team, led by DSP Gumbat Nazer Hussain and SHO Gumbat, was formed to address these complaints. Utilizing advanced investigation methods and ground intelligence, the police tracked down the accused, who had been hiding after committing robberies.

Noori, the armed robber now in custody, has confessed to several crimes involving roadside robberies. Authorities expect more important revelations during the ongoing investigation.

In a separate crackdown on law violators across Sargodha, police arrested 15 suspects during raids in different areas.

The arrested individuals include Nadeem, Naeem, Naseer, Nouman, Naveed, Nasrullah, Muhammad Ashfaq, Muhammad Aslam, Tariq, Waqas, and Waleed. Police also recovered 2 kg of hashish, 2 kg of opium, 231 liters of liquor, nine pistols, nine guns, and 203 bullets during the raids.

Further investigations into both cases are underway.
