‘Poisoned’ Food Leaves Seven Hospitalized in Faisalabad

Faisalabad: At least seven members of a family were hospitalized after consuming allegedly poisonous food in the jurisdiction of Samundri police station in Faisalabad on Monday.

A spokesperson from Rescue 1122 stated on Tuesday that Muhammad Latif, residing in Chak No.466-GB Odan Wali Basti, along with his family, consumed home-cooked food which was suspected to be toxic.

Consequently, Muhammad Latif (50), his wife Safia Bibi (50), sons Shafiq (25) and Babar Latif (22), daughters Sumera (18) and Samia (16), and niece Sumaira Ramzan (20) fell ill.

After receiving first aid from Rescue 1122, they were transferred to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Sammundri. The spokesperson added that the condition of all the victims is now stable in the hospital.
