PMD Projects Dry Weather in Country

Islamabad/Bahawalpur: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast dry weather for most parts of the country. Meanwhile, the local Met Office has forecast dry to partly cloudy weather for Bahawalpur for the next 24 hours.
PMD predicts rain, wind and thunderstorms are likely to occur in isolated places in Chitral, Dir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to the synoptic situation, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. Also, a westerly wave is present over northern areas of the country.
During the last 24 hours, dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country and was hot in the southern parts, informed Met Office. The highest maximum temperatures recorded were Shaheed Benazirabad, Dalbandin, Dadu 41°C, Turbat, Sakrand and Mohenjodaro40°C.
Moreover, the highest maximum temperature of 37°C and the lowest minimum temperature of 27°C were recorded in Bahawalpur. Dry to partly cloudy weather has also been forecast for the rest of the region.
Hot, dry weather forecast for Sindh
Met Office forecasts that hot and dry weather is likely to prevail over most parts of Sindh province during the next 24 hours. According to PMD, fair and partly cloudy weather is expected in Karachi over the next 24 hours.
The highest maximum temperature of 35°C and the lowest minimum temperature of 26°C were recorded in Karachi.
