PM Shehbaz to Inaugurate IDEAS 2024 in Karachi Today

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to inaugurate the 12th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024 at the Expo Centre in Karachi today (Tuesday).

The ceremony will be attended by all the chiefs of the armed forces.

IDEAS 2024 aims to showcase a comprehensive range of modern and traditional defence equipment, weapon systems, and vehicles.

The exhibition has attracted significant interest from global defence experts and industry leaders.

The exhibition aligns with Pakistan’s strategic priorities, including bolstering defence production and expanding exports, which are key focuses of the Special Investment Facilitation Council.

In anticipation of the event, stringent security measures have been implemented, with containers placed around the Expo Centre to ensure safety. Traffic on roads leading to the venue, particularly from Shahrah-e-Faisal, will be suspended from 7 am to 7 pm. Karachi Traffic Police has issued a revised traffic plan for the duration of IDEAS 2024.

The four-day event will see the participation of several foreign delegations, underscoring its global significance in the defence sector.
