Pirwadhai Police Arrest Man for Assaulting Married Woman

Rawalpindi: The Pirwadhai Police on Wednesday arrested a man accused of repeatedly assaulting and blackmailing a married woman, a Rawalpindi Police spokesperson said.
According to the complaint filed by the victim, the suspect had allegedly been blackmailing her for some time and assaulted her on multiple occasions. Acting promptly on her application, the police registered a case and apprehended the accused.
The police have initiated the medical examination of the victim as part of the investigation.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal Saad Arshad said the accused would be challaned in court based on solid evidence. He reaffirmed that violence and abuse against women would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Police Arrest Five Criminals, Recover Drugs
The Rawalpindi Police on Wednesday arrested five suspects during various operations across the district and recovered over one kilogram of hashish, 15 litres of liquor, and weapons with ammunition.
According to a police spokesperson, the Kahuta Police arrested one individual and seized 1.3 kilograms of hashish. The Banni Police apprehended another accused and recovered 10 litres of liquor, while the Morgah Police confiscated 5 litres of liquor from a separate suspect.
Similarly, the Gujar Khan and Chauntra Police arrested one suspect each and recovered weapons along with ammunition. Separate cases have been registered against all the accused, and further investigations are underway.
