Pindi District Records 2,047 Confirmed Dengue Cases

Rawalpindi: As many as 28 new dengue cases were reported in Rawalpindi during the last 24 hours, raising the tally of confirmed cases to 2,047 in the district.

District Coordinator Epidemics Prevention and Control (DCEPC) Dr Sajjad Mehmood said that that among the new cases, 13 patients have arrived from the Potohar town urban area, 11 from the Municipal Corporation, and two each from Chaklala Cantonment and Potohar rural area.

Presently,114 patients are admitted to different health facilities in the district, of which 90 are confirmed cases and 1,936 were discharged after treatment, informed Dr Mehmood.

The District Health Authority (DHA), in collaboration with allied departments, has lodged 38 FIRs, issued tickets to 13, sealed two premises, and imposed a fine of Rs 134,800 on violations of dengue SOPs during the last 24 hours.
