Pilot Error Causes PIA Plane to Land on Wrong Runway

Islamabad: An investigation is currently underway following an incident in which a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) passenger plane mistakenly landed on the wrong runway at Lahore Airport a few days ago.

A spokesperson for PIA explained that the low visibility at the airport, along with the lighting on both runways, contributed to the confusion, leading to the landing of PIA flight PK-150 on the incorrect runway.

However, a report from the Board of Air Safety Investigation, obtained by Urdu News, has disclosed that the pilot of PK-150 had disregarded the instructions provided by the air traffic controller.
