Peshawar Sees Cooler Temperatures Amid Provincial Heatwave

News Desk Peshawar: The Meteorological Department predicted on Sunday that the weather is likely to remain dry and hot in most districts of the province. “Severe heat is expected in the southern districts of the province,” a Meteorological Department official stated. “The daytime temperature is likely to be 2°C to 5°C above normal in the southern districts,” the official added. “Heavy dusty winds are anticipated in Kohat, Charsadda, Peshawar, Khyber, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Hangu, Nowshera, Dera Ismail Khan, and Tank,” the official noted. “There is a possibility of rain with thunder in Upper Dir, Swat, Mansehra, and Kohistan. In the last 24 hours, 7 mm of rain was recorded in Patan, 5 mm in Malam Jabba, 4 mm in Timergara, 3 mm in Dir, and 1 mm in Chitral.” During the past 24 hours, the highest temperature was recorded at 44°C in Dera Ismail Khan. The maximum and minimum temperatures in various districts of KP were: Bannu 43°C, Tahatbhai 39°C, Timergara 37°C, Dir 34°C, Charat 36°C, and Peshawar 23°C. Post Views: 81
