Islamabad: Enjoy your homemade Albaik-Style Chicken Nuggets! Perfect for snacking, serving as an appetizer, or enjoying with your favorite dipping sauce.

Ingredients for Chicken Marination:

  • 1 kg Chicken fillets
  • 1/4 cup Hot sauce
  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Ginger powder

Ingredients for Batter:

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Corn flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Orange food color
  • 1 cup Water

Ingredients for Chicken Nuggets:

  • Chicken fillets (marinated)
  • Bread crumbs (as required)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the chicken fillets with hot sauce, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, red chili powder, vinegar, and ginger powder. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated.
  2. Tenderize & Freeze: Transfer the coated chicken fillets to a zip-lock bag. Using a mallet, gently hammer the chicken until it is flattened. Freeze the chicken overnight to achieve the desired texture.
  3. Prepare the Batter: In a separate bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, corn flour, eggs, orange food color, and water. Stir well until the batter is smooth and well-combined.
  4. Cut & Coat the Chicken: After removing the chicken from the freezer, cut it into bite-sized cubes. Dip each chicken cube into the prepared batter, ensuring it is thoroughly coated. Then, roll each piece in bread crumbs to achieve a crisp coating.
  5. Fry the Nuggets: Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pan. Carefully fry the coated chicken nuggets until they turn light golden brown and are cooked through.
