PCB to File Complaint Over Indian Players’ Conduct
News Desk
Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced plans to raise concerns with the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding the conduct of Indian players during the Under-19 Asia Cup final.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that throughout the match, Indian players repeatedly provoked the Pakistani team, an action that went against the spirit of the game and cricket’s core principles.
“These actions are not in line with the expected standards of sportsmanship,” Naqvi added. He confirmed that a formal complaint would be submitted to the ICC, highlighting the importance of keeping politics separate from sports.
“Cricket should remain a platform for mutual respect and healthy competition, not for incitement or provocation,” he emphasized.
Earlier, Pakistan’s team mentor Sarfaraz Ahmed had described the Indian players’ behavior as unfortunate and unethical. He praised the Pakistani team for their sportsmanship, noting that they celebrated their victory with dignity despite the provocation.
