Islamabad: The 2025-26 Regional Inter-District U19 One-Day Tournament is set to begin on Friday, 25 April, with 110 district and zonal teams participating in 264 50-over red-ball matches across Pakistan.

This event will give over 1,600 U19 players a platform to showcase their skills, as part of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s pathways development program.

The tournament will kick off in Abbottabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), Bahawalpur, Dera Murad Jamali, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, and Sialkot on 25 April. In the remaining six regions including Quetta, FATA, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Larkana, and Hyderabad  the tournament will start on 26, 29 April, 2, 5, 10, and 15 May, respectively.

In regions such as Faisalabad, FATA, Quetta, Rawalpindi, and Sialkot, the district teams have been divided into two pools, with the winners of each pool playing in a final to determine the regional champion. In the other 11 regions, the team finishing at the top of the table will be declared the winner.

For the first time, the PCB has granted playing rights to three districts Khushab, Toba Tek Singh (Faisalabad region), and Lakki Marwat (FATA region)—to broaden the scope of talent scouting and offer more opportunities to players from remote areas of the country.

Top performers in the tournament will have the chance to represent their regional teams in the U19 regional development academies and the Inter-Regional U19 Tournament later this year. Additionally, the PCB plans to introduce the inaugural U19 Champions event, where the best U19 talent from across the country will compete against each other after the conclusion of the regional activity.
