PCB Announces Squad for ICC U-19 Women’s T20 Cup

Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the national squad for the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup.
Komal Khan will lead the team as captain, with Zoufishan serving as vice-captain. The 15-member squad also includes Alisa Mukhtiar, Areesha Ansari, Fatima Khan, Hania Ahmar, Maham Anis, Mahnur Zeb, Maimuna Khalid, Manahil, Quratul Ain, Rawil Farhan, and Shahr Bano. Taiba Imdad and Wasifa Hussain are also part of the squad.
The reserve players are Fiza Fayyaz, Laiba Nasir, Manahil Javed, Rozeena Akram, and Sania Rashid.
The team will undergo a training camp at the Hanif Muhammad High-Performance Center in Karachi from December 31 to January 9 before departing for Malaysia via Dubai on January 10.
According to the tournament format, 16 teams are divided into four groups of four. Pakistan has been placed in Group B alongside England, Ireland, and the United States.
Pakistan’s group stage matches will take place at the JCA Oval in Johor, Malaysia.
The schedule is as follows:
January 18: Pakistan vs. United States
January 20: Pakistan vs. England
January 22: Pakistan vs. Ireland
The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super 6 stage. The tournament will be held in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2.
