Partly Cloudy Weather in Lahore, Dry Conditions in Sindh

Lahore/Karachi: Partly cloudy weather continued in Lahore on Monday, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicting similar conditions for the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, dry weather is expected to prevail across most parts of Sindh, with partly cloudy conditions in upper districts.
Weather and Air Quality in Lahore
MET officials reported that a westerly wave is present over the upper parts of the country and is expected to persist for a few more days. The minimum temperature recorded in Lahore was 15°C, while the maximum reached 19°C.
The city’s air quality remained poor, with an average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 159. The PM2.5 concentration stood at 13.4 times the World Health Organization’s (WHO) annual guideline value.
The Punjab Environmental Protection Department (EPD) released AQI data from 32 locations across Punjab, including 16 in Lahore. Among these, Town Hall recorded the highest AQI at 219, followed by Egerton Road (210), Multan Road (207), and Sagian Road (204).

In other Punjab cities, AQI levels remained concerning, with Faisalabad’s NTU recording 190, Gujranwala’s DC Office at 168, and Sialkot’s DC Office at 129. Multan’s BZU recorded an AQI of 88, while Rawalpindi’s DC Office stood at 85.
Sindh Weather Forecast
The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast dry weather in most parts of Sindh for the next 24 hours, with partly cloudy conditions expected in the upper districts. No significant weather changes are anticipated, with dry conditions likely to persist across the province.
Authorities have advised citizens to take necessary precautions in areas experiencing poor air quality and to remain updated on weather conditions in their respective regions.
