Palestinian Territories: Palestinians are increasingly turning to local products like Chat Cola as part of a boycott of goods linked to Israel since the Gaza war erupted last year.

The red packaging of Chat Cola, resembling Coca-Cola, symbolizes a shift toward supporting local alternatives. “Demand surged due to the boycott,” said Fahed Arar, owner of Chat Cola’s factory in Salfit, West Bank.

In Ramallah, restaurateur Julien stocked his Coca-Cola-branded fridge with Chat Cola, reflecting widespread consumer preference. Supermarket manager Mahmud Sidr observed a rise in sales of Palestinian and Arab goods unassociated with Israel.

While Coca-Cola is not directly linked to supplying Israeli forces, it is seen by some Palestinians as emblematic of American support for Israel, especially given the U.S. military aid during the ongoing Gaza conflict.
