Pakistan’s Colors and Cultures Shine at Lok Mela

Islamabad: The National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) will host the much-anticipated “Lok Mela” from November 8 to 17, aiming to showcase Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage.
Secretary of the National Heritage and Culture Division, Hassan Nasir Jamy, highlighted that the festival, celebrating Lok Virsa’s Golden Jubilee, will feature artisans, folk artists, and youth talent from across Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
This year’s festival will include music nights representing all provinces, art and cultural displays, and traditional cuisines.
The Lok Mela, organized annually for over 40 years, underscores Lok Virsa’s commitment to preserving Pakistan’s cultural legacy for future generations.
