Islamabad: A Pakistani teenager, Abdullah Khawaja, has invented a low-cost, high-durability artificial arm. This innovation has garnered international attention for Pakistan.

The 17-year-old, who resides in Jordan but hails from Peshawar, described his inspiration for the project during an interview on ARY News.

He shared that seeing people without limbs in Jordanian refugee camps sparked his idea.

Khawaja further explained that the high market price of existing prosthetics motivated him to create an affordable alternative using 3D design.

He claims his design surpasses commercially available arms in terms of quality and durability.

Additionally, the arm utilizes the user’s muscle movements for control and can lift up to three kilograms.
