Rupee Sees Minor Dip Against US Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee experienced a slight slip today, falling by 10 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading. It closed at Rs 278.50, down from the previous day’s Rs 278.40.

In the open market, the dollar’s rates stood at Rs 279 for buying and Rs 280.75 for selling, the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP) stated.

Meanwhile, the Euro saw a decline of Rs 1.24, settling at Rs 301.55 from Rs 302.79.

The Japanese yen made a modest gain of 02 paisa, reaching Rs 1.80, while the British pound saw a decrease of 82 paisa, closing at Rs 358.81 compared to Rs 359.63 the day before.

Both the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal increased by 2 paisa each, ending the day at Rs 75.82 and Rs 74.24, respectively.
