Pakistan Women Grab 10-Wicket Win Over UAE in Asia Cup

Dambulla: Opener Gull Feroza scored her second consecutive half-century to lead Pakistan to a comprehensive ten-wicket victory over the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their Women’s Asia Cup T20 2024 match at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Tuesday.
After choosing to field first, Pakistan’s bowlers made early breakthroughs, restricting the UAE to 103-8 in their allotted 20 overs.
In response, Pakistan chased down the target of 104 in just 14.1 overs, with 35 balls to spare. The opening partnership between Gull Feroza and Muneeba Ali proved crucial, as they remained unbeaten and put on a 107-run stand.
This was their second century partnership in consecutive matches, following their 105-run partnership against Nepal.
Gull Feroza reached her second consecutive fifty, scoring a career-best unbeaten 62 off 46 balls, including eight boundaries. Muneeba Ali contributed an unbeaten 37 off 30 balls with four boundaries.
The UAE’s batting lineup struggled against Pakistan’s bowlers. Theertha Satish was the top scorer with 40 runs, while Esha Oza added 16 and Khushi Sharma managed just 12 runs.
Pakistan’s bowlers dominated, with Sadia Iqbal, Nashra Sundhu, and Tuba Hassan each taking two wickets. Sadia Iqbal claimed 2-11, Tuba Hassan 2-17, and Nashra Sundhu 2-22.
