Pakistan vs Bangladesh: First Test Kicks Off in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: The first Test of the series between Pakistan and Bangladesh starts today (Friday) in Rawalpindi.
Pakistan will be fielding four fast bowlers, with batting heavily relying on Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shan Masood, Saud Shakeel, and Abdullah Shafiq.
Salman Ali Agha will be taking the role of the all-rounder. Captain Shan Masood expressed confidence, stating, “Fans always want the cricket team to perform well and win. We have a talented group of cricketers who are eager to deliver. Our bowlers are capable of taking twenty wickets.”
Bangladesh captain Najam Hussain Shanto emphasized the importance of the series. The Pakistan playing XI for the first Test includes Abdullah Shafiq, Saim #Ayub, Shan Masood (captain), Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel (vice-captain), Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Salman Ali Agha, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shahzad, and Muhammad Ali.
The Bangladesh team comprises Najamul Hasan Shanto (captain), Hasan Mahmood, Latan Das, Mehdi Hasan Miraz, Mominul Haq, Mushfiqur Rahim, Naheed Rana, Naeem Hasan, Shadman Islam, Shakibul Hasan, Shariful Islam, Syed Khalid Ahmed, Tejul Islam, and Zakir Hasan.
Notably, this Test marks the first international assignment for Jason Gillespie as head coach of the Pakistan Red Ball team, a position he assumed in April this year.
