Islamabad: Pakistan Armed Forces on Friday intercepted and destroyed six additional Indian drones of Israeli manufacture across three districts of Punjab, bringing the total number of neutralised drones to 35, according to security sources.

One drone was brought down over Vehari, another over Pakpattan, and four more near Okara. Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) stated that all unmanned aerial vehicles were tracked via radar from the moment they entered Pakistani airspace.

“Enemy drones are monitored continuously,” he said, adding that Pakistan’s air defence network is capable of detecting even the smallest aerial incursions. He emphasised that strict operational protocols are followed to safely eliminate such threats, particularly in proximity to civilian populations and commercial flight corridors.

Defence analysts applauded the swift response, noting it as evidence of Pakistan’s robust defence readiness. “The precise detection and neutralisation of these drones underscores the sophistication of our surveillance and air-defence capabilities,” said military experts.
