Pakistan Shaheens vs England Lions Series Cancelled

Islamabad: The ongoing cricket series between the Pakistan Shaheens and England Lions in Abu Dhabi has been officially called off, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed on Tuesday.

According to a joint press release, the decision was mutually agreed upon following escalating security concerns in the Middle East and consultations between both cricket boards.

The series, which included three T20 matches and five 50-over fixtures, will not resume. Both boards emphasized that the safety, security, and well-being of players and support staff remain the highest priority.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated it is maintaining constant contact with team management and players to ensure that all necessary measures are in place to return the squad safely to Pakistan.

This cancellation comes amid heightened regional tensions, underscoring the ongoing impact of security developments on international cricket schedules.
