Pakistan Shaheens to Face Sri Lanka ‘A’ in ODI Series

Islamabad: Fresh from their 1-0 victory in the two-match four-day series, Mohammad Huraira-led Pakistan Shaheens will take on Sri Lanka ‘A’ in a three-match 50-over series starting November 25.
The first match is scheduled for Monday at the Islamabad Club, with the remaining games set for November 27 and 29 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The Shaheens’ one-day squad has been strengthened with the inclusion of nine players, including Imran Randhawa and Ubaid Shah, who received maiden call-ups following their stellar performances in domestic cricket.
Speaking ahead of the series, Pakistan Shaheens captain Mohammad Huraira expressed confidence in his team’s preparation and readiness. “We have a balanced squad and are looking forward to performing well in this series,” he said.
Sri Lanka ‘A’, led by Nuwanidu Fernando, also includes several players from their red-ball squad. Fernando emphasized the importance of leveraging their experience from the Test series, adding, “Our aim is to challenge the young Shaheens squad and put them under pressure.”

Sri Lanka ‘A’ Squad:
Nuwanidu Fernando (captain), Lahiru Udara, Kamil Mishara, Pasindu Sooriyabandara, Pavan Rathnayake, Sahan Arachchige, Ahan Wickramasinghe, Sonal Dinusha, Dinura Kalupahana, Dushan Hemantha, Kavindu Nadeeshan, Wanuja Sahan, Eshan Malinga, Dilshan Madushanka, and Nipun Ransika.
The series promises an exciting clash as both teams aim to showcase young talent and build momentum for international recognition.
