Pakistan Post 274 as Run-Out Drama Erupts
News Desk
Dhaka: A controversial run-out involving Salman Ali Agha overshadowed the second ODI between Pakistan and Bangladesh, triggering heated moments on the field.
The incident occurred when Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan played a shot that struck the foot of Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz. As the ball stopped near the bowler, Salman Ali Agha stepped out of his crease intending to hand the ball back to Miraz.
However, Miraz quickly picked up the ball and struck the stumps before Agha could return to his crease. The umpire ruled it a run-out, a decision that sparked frustration from Agha as he walked back to the pavilion.
The dismissal led to tense exchanges on the field, with Bangladesh wicketkeeper Liton Das also appearing angered during the moment. Rizwan, along with teammates and the umpire, eventually calmed Agha down.
Earlier in the match at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl first against Pakistan.
