Pakistan Mourns Loss of Beloved Actor Talat Hussain at 83

Islamabad: Talat Hussain, a legendary Pakistani actor, passed away in Karachi at the age of 83 after battling illness, as confirmed by his daughter.
Tributes poured in from across the country, highlighting his illustrious career spanning several decades since the 1960s, during which he excelled in TV dramas, movies, and stage plays.
He breathed his last at a private hospital in Karachi, leaving behind his wife, two daughters, and a son.
Hussain’s notable projects include “Chiragh Jalta Raha,” “Ishaara,” “Gumnaam,” “Qurbani,” “Jinnah—The Movie,” “Actor in Law,” “Chupan Chupai,” and “Project Ghazi.”
In a heartfelt Instagram post, his daughter Tazeen announced his demise, with details about funeral arrangements to follow later.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed condolences, acknowledging Hussain’s significant contributions to Pakistani cinema and television.
Hussain, an alumnus of the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, received numerous accolades, including the Sitara-e-Imtiaz and the Pride of Performance Award.
Behroze Sabzwari, a prominent actor, praised Hussain’s unique style and recalled their friendship, while actress Bushra Ansari emphasized his unparalleled talent as a teacher and urged prayers for his soul’s peace.
Acting President Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Sunday expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of renowned artist Talat Hussain.
Late Talat Hussain’s invaluable contributions to the arts will always be remembered, the acting president said in a message.
He prayed to “Allah Almighty” to grant the departed soul a high rank in paradise and courage to the bereaved family members to bear this loss with patience
