Pakistan Crush Japan to Reach Asian Youth Netball Final

South Korea: Pakistan stormed into the final of the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship 2025 after a dominant 64-39 victory over Japan in the semifinal held at the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium on Thursday.

The Green Shirts came out firing, establishing a commanding 21-7 lead by the end of the first quarter. Maintaining control throughout, Pakistan extended their advantage to 34-19 at halftime and 42-28 by the third quarter, eventually sealing the win with a 25-point margin.

Standout performances came from Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Sumayya Kouser, Haleema, Jasmine Farooq, Amani, Parisa, and Farah Rasheed, who all contributed significantly in both attack and defense.

Pakistan Netball Federation Chairman Mudassar Arian, President Sameen Malik, and Secretary General Muhammad Riaz congratulated the team on their outstanding achievement and praised the players for securing a well-deserved place in the final.

The final will be played on Friday, where Pakistan will face the winner of the second semifinal between the Maldives and Chinese Taipei.

Pakistan have been in exceptional form throughout the tournament, which is being held under the auspices of the Asian Netball Federation from June 27 to July 4.

They launched their campaign with a crushing 71-15 win over Saudi Arabia, followed by a 56-32 triumph against Chinese Taipei. In their third outing, Pakistan demolished hosts South Korea 91-6, and continued their winning streak with a 79-39 rout of Japan.

The Green Shirts confirmed their semifinal berth after a hard-fought 49-39 victory over the Maldives in their final group match, finishing top of Group B.

Pakistan now eye the championship title as they head into the final with an unbeaten record and formidable momentum.
