Pakistan Braces for Widespread Rains, Hailstorms

Islamabad: There is a forecast for widespread rains and isolated hailstorms with snowfall in the mountainous regions of Punjab over the next few days.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted the influence of a strong westerly wave over western parts of the country, expected to affect most areas until Sunday.
Anticipated weather conditions include rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in various parts of Punjab, including Multan, Kot Addu, Layyah, and Rahim Yar Khan, among others, on Thursday night.
Murree and surrounding areas are likely to experience cloudy weather with rain and snowfall during this time.
On Friday and Saturday, similar weather patterns are expected to persist in several cities, with heavy rainfall and hailstorms possible in isolated areas. Intermittent rain and snowfall are also anticipated in Murree and Galyat, with potential road closures and structural damage due to windstorms. Tourists are advised to exercise caution.
In Lahore, temperatures are forecasted to range between 09-11 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday. Dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts of the province over the last 24 hours, with freezing temperatures observed in upper districts. Bhakkar received 02 mm of rain.
Murree recorded the lowest temperature in the province at 01°C, with relative humidity reaching 76% during the evening.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature was 10°C, with relative humidity recorded at 40% during the evening.
