Pak Army Continues Relief Work in Snow-Hit Areas

Islamabad: The Pakistan Army continued extensive rescue and relief operations on Monday following heavy snowfall across several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, disrupting daily life and road connectivity.
In response to the severe weather, the Army established control centres in multiple districts of Balochistan, including Ziarat, Bolan, Qila Saifullah, Khojak Top, Lak Pass, Dukki and Muslim Bagh. Army personnel and rescue teams have been working to evacuate people stranded in snowbound areas and provide essential supplies such as food and medical assistance.
Relief operations are also underway in District Kurram, where intense rain and snowfall prompted the immediate launch of rescue efforts to support the local population and restore ground communication links.

Through the use of heavy machinery and manpower, all affected roads have been cleared and reopened, allowing residents to regain access to markets and healthcare facilities.
Similarly, in Tirah Valley, Pakistan Army personnel remain actively engaged in relief activities despite harsh weather and challenging terrain, continuing operations under severe snowfall conditions.
According to officials, Army officers and jawans are personally supervising relief efforts on the ground, ensuring timely assistance despite extreme weather conditions.
The Pakistan Army reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property and providing swift support to affected communities during natural disasters and emergencies.
