Islamabad: Marking a proud moment for the nation, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) secured two top accolades at the Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 (RIAT25), one of the world’s premier military airshows held at RAF Fairford, United Kingdom.
The indigenously produced JF-17C Block III fighter jet earned the prestigious “Spirit of the Meet” award, lauded for its stellar flight performance and cutting-edge technology.
Representing the latest evolution of the JF-17 Thunder series — jointly developed by Pakistan and China — the aircraft dazzled international audiences with its precision maneuvers, modern avionics, and agility in the skies.
In a parallel win, PAF’s iconic C-130 Hercules transport aircraft clinched the “Concours d’Elegance” trophy for best overall presentation. The aircraft, featuring a bespoke paint scheme celebrating Pakistan’s air force heritage and operational legacy, became a visual highlight of the show, drawing praise from global participants and spectators alike.
RIAT25 saw participation from over 30 countries, underscoring the international recognition of Pakistan’s growing aerospace capabilities. The PAF’s performance not only showcased its aviation excellence but also reinforced its stature on the global stage.
