Over 200 Firefighters Extinguish Margalla Hills Fire

Islamabad: The blaze in the Margalla Hills has been completely put out following rigorous endeavors that engaged more than 200 firefighters, along with the deployment of two helicopters, according to a spokesperson from the CDA.

In an official statement, the spokesperson noted the participation of the fire brigade, Rawalpindi Rescue 1122, and other personnel in the firefighting mission.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad oversaw the fire operation. The Director General of Environment and relevant Assistant Commissioners were also in attendance.

The spokesperson highlighted that managing the fire posed difficulties due to gusty winds and scorching weather conditions.
