Over 1 Million Children Vaccinated Against Polio In Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: The District Health Authority announced on Sunday that it had successfully achieved the polio vaccination target for the week-long drive initiated on November 27.
According to District Superintendent of Vaccination Dr Muhammad Nadeem, more than 1,015,262 children under the age of five received anti-polio drops during the campaign conducted across all tehsils of the district.
Dr Nadeem highlighted the extensive participation in the drive, involving 4,199 teams, including 3,703 mobile teams, 866 area incharges, 330 fixed points, and 245 Union Council medical officers. Additionally, 166 transit teams safeguarded children against the disease at entry and exit points in the district.
