One-Wheeling: The New Traffic Nightmare?
News Desk
Rawalpindi: One-wheeling continues to plague various roads in the city, particularly after Iftar, as motorcyclists, mostly teenagers, persist in performing perilous stunts and riding their motorcycles on one wheel across different thoroughfares.
These one-wheelers have been observed engaging in hazardous maneuvers near Ayub Park, Peshawar Road, Saddar, Murree Road, and other areas, especially during Ramazan nights, often managing to evade police presence on the roads.
Despite concerted efforts by law enforcement to curb this activity, the prevalence of one-wheeling is not only persisting but also escalating rapidly.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Taimoor Khan has emphasized stringent directives issued to all traffic wardens, inspectors, and Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) across sectors to seize modified motorcycles tailored for wheelies from youths traversing the city roads and detain offenders.
