One Killed, Another Injured in PPP-MQM-P Workers’ Clash

Islamabad: A political worker was killed and another injured in a clash between the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) in Karachi.
According to private media, the incident took place in Nazimabad No. 2, where PPP workers engaged in aerial firing during an MQM-P rally, leading to the death of one MQM-P worker and injuries to another.
The deceased and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. In reaction, enraged MQM-P supporters set fire to 10 vehicles.
Law enforcement, including police and Rangers, intervened to bring the situation under control. Taha Siddiqui, a member of the MQM-P Rabita Committee, stated in a media address that armed individuals affiliated with the PPP had opened fire on their rally in Nazimabad No. 2, resulting in the death of Faraz, an MQM-P worker, and the injury of another.
Siddiqui cautioned that the PPP cannot establish control over the city through acts of terrorism and mentioned that the deceased held the position of sector in charge in the area.
