NUST Honors Top Researchers with BRAIN Awards

Islamabad: In recognition of its faculty’s exceptional dedication to research and innovation, the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) honored its top researchers and innovators with the prestigious Best Researcher and Innovator (BRAIN) Awards.
The awards, which celebrate achievements from the academic year 2022-23, acknowledged faculty members for their success in securing national and international funding, conducting groundbreaking research, producing high-quality publications, and creating impactful inventions.
Federal Minister for Science & Technology Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui presented cash prizes and certificates to over 100 awardees across 108 categories.
In his address, he lauded the faculty’s remarkable achievements, emphasizing their vital role in advancing knowledge and driving innovation. Dr Siddiqui noted that their contributions are a significant service to the nation and serve as an inspiration for future generations of researchers and innovators. He also reiterated his ministry’s commitment to supporting initiatives that advance science and technology in the country.
Lt Gen (Retd) Engr Javed Mahmood Bukhari, Rector of NUST, commended the award-winning faculty as the cornerstone of NUST’s dynamic knowledge ecosystem. He highlighted that these awards reflect NUST’s commitment to fostering a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and societal contribution.
The NUST Rector expressed hope that the pioneering work of these NUST scholars would advance scientific inquiry, provide innovative solutions to industrial challenges, and contribute to national development.
