NUST Awarded Its Leading Researchers, Innovators

Islamabad: National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) held the ‘Research & Innovation Excellence Awards’ ceremony to honour the dedication of faculty members who excelled in research and innovation.

As many as 53 faculty members have received awards for the years 2020 and 2021 for winning Best Researcher, Best Innovator, and Top Performer awards.

NUST Rector Engr Javed Mahmood Bukhari said, “Faculty members are an essential component of the institution and continually work to advance research and academic quality, which is evident in worldwide rankings and growing national and international partnerships.”

He urged the faculty members to instil civic and moral principles in the pupils while also keeping up with the rapidly changing demands of the academic world.

NUST Pro-Rector for Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (RIC) Dr Rizwan Riazsaid that the University takes pleasure in its top students and recognises their great achievementsin advancing NUST to its present position.

Dr Rizwan Riaz added that the faculty have contributed to the development of NUST ecosystem, which has reached levels unmatched in Pakistan and is now known around the world.
