Noor Zaman Wins NASH Cup 2025 in Canada

Islamabad: Pakistan’s squash sensation Noor Zaman brought glory to the nation after clinching the NASH Cup 2025 title in London, Canada, defeating Egypt’s Moustafa Elsirty in the final.

The 21-year-old from Peshawar, representing the third generation of Pakistan’s famed squash family, stunned the tournament’s second seed with a straight-sets victory, 19-17, 11-7, 11-9, in a thrilling 52-minute contest.

Seeded fifth, Noor showcased exceptional skill, stamina, and composure throughout the $30,000 Copper-level event, the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) said on Sunday. His impressive campaign included a commanding semifinal win over Colombia’s Matias Knudsen.

Another rising Pakistani star, Muhammad Ashab Irfan, also reached the semifinals, underlining the country’s growing pool of young squash talent.

Noor, grandson of former British Open champion Qamar Zaman, has been carrying forward the family legacy with consistent performances on the international circuit. His latest triumph has raised hopes of Pakistan reclaiming its historic dominance in the sport.
