NIH Reports Nine New COVID-19 Case

Islamabad: Health officials at the National Institute of Health (NIH) reported on Tuesday that the country recorded nine new COVID-19 cases in the past week.
According to NIH data, the case positivity ratio stood at 0.33 percent, with no patients in critical condition and no reported deaths. During this period, a total of 2,694 coronavirus tests were conducted.
Simultaneously, representatives from the Ministry for National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination emphasized the government’s efforts to fortify the Border and Health Services in Pakistan to address potential sub-variants of COVID-19.
They highlighted the existence of a surveillance system at all entry points, including airports, with rapid testing and screening procedures for passengers. Additionally, it was noted that 90 percent of the country’s population had already received the COVID-19 vaccine.
