New Rain System to Hit Balochistan, Sindh from February 24

Islamabad: Balochistan is set to experience another spell of rain and snowfall starting today (Friday), with meteorologists predicting an unusual snowy weather system affecting both Balochistan and Sindh from February 24.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms is expected in at least 10 districts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Ziarat, and Kalat. Light snowfall is also anticipated in the province’s mountainous areas.
Quetta Valley and its surroundings have remained partly cloudy since morning, with intermittent light rainfall reported in different parts of the city. The minimum temperature in Quetta was recorded at 2°C, while the weather remains cold and dry in the northern districts, including Ziarat, Kalat, and Mastung.
Meanwhile, the coastal areas of Sindh are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions with chances of drizzle.
Following rain and snowfall yesterday, most parts of the country are expected to remain dry today, the Meteorological Department reported.
