New Match Finalised for Junaid Safdar’s Second Marriage

Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s son, Junaid Safdar, is set to remarry after a new match was finalised, local media reported on Monday.

According to sources, Junaid’s marriage has been arranged with the granddaughter of senior PML-N leader Sheikh Rohail Asghar. She is the daughter of Ali Rohail Asghar, marking a union between two influential political families.

Sources added that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and the wider Sharif family have formally approved the match.

The wedding is expected to be held either in the last week of December or in January. Insiders also confirmed that a joint family gathering has already taken place as part of the pre-wedding preparations.

This will be Junaid Safdar’s second marriage. He was previously married to Ayesha Saif, daughter of former NAB chairman and Qatar-based businessman Saifur Rahman Khan. The couple parted ways amicably in October 2023.

Junaid’s first wedding took place in London in 2021 at The Lanesborough in Knightsbridge, during Nawaz Sharif’s exile.
