NDMA Issues Weather Impact Alert for Sindh

Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA)’s National Emergency Operation Center has forecasted rain, wind, and thundershowers over the next 72 hours.
Under the influence of this weather system, regions including Badin, Chhor, Dadu, Hyderabad, Jacobabad, Jamshoro, Karachi, Khairpur, Larkana, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, Nausheroferoze, Padidan, Sajawal, Sanghar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Tando Allayar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar, Thatta, and Umarkot are expected to experience rainfall with thundershowers in some areas until August 12th.
“The public is advised to stay informed by monitoring weather updates and alerts. NDMA has launched the Pak NDMA Disaster Alert application, available on Google Play Store and iOS App Store, to provide timely alerts, advisories, and guidelines,” said the NDMA.
The NDMA has instructed all relevant departments to take necessary precautions to mitigate the potential effects of flooding and extreme weather.
