Hyderabad: A severe heatwave has gripped Nawabshah and its surrounding areas, with temperatures soaring to a blistering 50°C, matching the record set in April 2018.
The extreme weather has disrupted daily life, leaving residents struggling to cope with the intense heat. Power outages have exacerbated the situation, with electricity supply remaining unstable throughout the day. Many areas have experienced power cuts lasting over 8 hours, depriving citizens of access to fans, air conditioners, and even clean drinking water.
Doctors have issued urgent warnings, advising the public to stay indoors during peak hours, avoid direct sun exposure, and increase their intake of cold water to prevent heatstroke. Meanwhile, ice vendors and ice cream parlors are seeing a surge in customers as heat-stricken citizens flock to these spots for some relief.
Despite the extreme conditions, authorities have yet to announce any emergency measures, leaving residents to endure the sweltering heat.
