Islamabad: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have launched a special awareness campaign, “Nasha Ab Nahi,” aimed at eradicating drug use and safeguarding the youth from the dangers of narcotics.

Led by Inspector General (IG) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the campaign focuses on educating students about the harmful effects of drugs and preventive measures. As part of the initiative, police officers, including DIG Syed Ali Raza, have conducted lectures at various educational institutions.

Recently, DIG Raza spoke at FAST University Islamabad, highlighting the severe impact of drug abuse on students’ health and future prospects.

The campaign encourages students to protect themselves and contribute to creating a drug-free environment. It also calls on parents and teachers to play an active role in preventing drug abuse among youth.

Syed Ali Raza has urged the public to report any drug-related activities to the police, emphasizing that community cooperation is crucial for the campaign’s success.

In collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force, the ICT Police are targeting drug trafficking and have formed special teams to apprehend drug peddlers in educational institutions.

The campaign also promises strict action against individuals involved in the narcotics and liquor trade.

Citizens are advised to report suspicious activities to their local police station, the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” or through the “ICT Police” app to ensure a safe and secure environment in the city.
